Milano Digital Week 2024

Over 120 events on the theme of the New Language of the City. Between Artificial Intelligence and human expression. Exhibitions, workshops and free talks aimed at promoting debate on digitisation issues. The MEET Digital Culture Centre will present the works Artificial Dreams and City Digital Skin Art. At the National Museum of Science and Technology, the installations Universal Everything: Infinity and Kinfolk will be on display.

 

Memo Akten. Boundaries

Church of Santa Maria della Visitazione (VE)

The exhibition presents Boundaries, the new digital animation by Memo Akten, which explores the concept of boundaries as spaces of connection. Curated by Walter Vanhaerents, this is the third major exhibition of the Vanhaerents Art Collection in Venice, with reference to the city’s cultural history.

Roma Europa Festival

The exhibition focuses on multimedia performing arts and creative innovation. Performance, digital culture, Metaverse and Italian electronics merge with artificial intelligence and virtual environments developing new formats. The Re:Humanism Art Prize and the 3rd National Meeting of Live Digital Arts complete the focus.

FMAV – Palazzo Santa Margherita, Modena

Inspired by biologist Jakob von Uexküll’s concept of ‘Umwelt’, the exhibition promotes a dialogue between natural and artificial elements. The exhibition encourages reflection on artificial intelligence as a means to better understand the environment and other forms of intelligence, promoting a critical debate on ecological ethics.

Echoes of the Mediterranean

Terrazza Colombo, Genova

Nexus presents the installation Plantalia by artist Debora Hirsch. Projected on a large screen, the work explores Mediterranean biodiversity and endangered plants, using art, technology and blockchain to create a living archive.

Dynamo Art Gallery & Fuse* dal 6 oct 2024

Return of the workshop held by Fuse* at Dynamo Camp, which offers recreational therapy to children and adolescents with serious illnesses. In it, inspired by the work Onirica (), participants shared their dreams, reinterpreted in real time by AI.

Beatrice Rainone

Is a museum educator and mediator. She graduated in Art History at the University of Florence with a thesis on the concept of reproducibility in crypto-art. She currently works in various cultural institutions in Tuscany, including Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci, Fondazione Pistoia Musei, Museo del Tessuto.
