Palazzo Strozzi, Florence
The site-specific installation by Dutch duo DRIFT, set up in the Renaissance courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi, offers an immersive experience that explores the link between art, technology and nature. The work is inspired by ‘nictonasty’, a natural phenomenon in which certain species of plants and flowers close during the night for self-defence and conservation, reopening at dawn. Visitors are invited to reflect on their relationship with the environment, while different disciplines dialogue in a poetic way thanks to the collaboration with scientists, programmers and artists.
